"What's wrong, Tianxin?" Li Qingcang worriedly questioned.

"Brother Li, what do you think of my acting skills?" Ye Tianxin asked, her face blossoming into a brilliant grin in a split second.

Li Qingcang was totally blown away by Ye Tianxin's mischievous face.

"You just love to play a fool, Tianxin."

Ye Tianxin was giggling. "That only goes to show how wonderful my acting talents are. Brother Li, if I ever stop being a diplomat, I could always get into acting."

Li Qingcang had a helpless expression. His heart felt like it was a little boat rolling on the harsh sea because of the way she made it pound. He wished for her innocence and purity to last forever and for her grin to remain as bright and beautiful as ever. He wished she would never leave his small world.

"You should get some rest once you complete your meal because tomorrow is your first day of work."

Li Qingcang and Ye Tianxin went to bed after eating their lunch and fell asleep embracing each other.

Ye Tianxin rose early the next morning. Since her mind knew she had to go to work, her biological clock appeared more excited than she was. Today, Ye Tianxin and Li Qingcang were dressed in matching white shirts and black pants.

The only difference was that Ye Tianxin was dressed in a mermaid skirt, black high heels, a basic white shirt on her upper body, and a diamond-encrusted watch on her wrist.

Her long black hair was put back with a diamond-detail hair clip, and a pair of little pearl earrings decorated her adorable little ears, making her appear quite professional in her present outfit.

Li Qingcang was holding Ye Tianxin's purse, which contained Ye Tianxin's laptop and wallet.

Even though today was not a Monday, there was still a significant amount of traffic during rush hour. Fortunately, Li Qingcang had left early, and they arrived at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' entrance in no time.

"Tianxin, if I'm not too busy today and there aren't any problems at work, I'll drop by at noon to see you."

Ye Tianxin had already started walking away from the car, but then she turned back around and kissed Li Qingcang on the face.

"Brother Li, you don't have to do that. I might have lunch with my colleagues. If you have time in the evening, come pick me up. But if you don't, I'll just call the driver at Lang Garden to take me home!"

Li Qingcang's voice sounded scratchy as he said, "I was hoping to see you."
