A man would be paid more than a woman for the same work. Women encountered more obstacles when looking for a job. Most people were unwilling to hire pregnant women or new mothers.

All the above reasons gave Ye Tianxin a mission. As a woman herself, these reasons motivated Ye Tianxin to strive to raise the social status of women. She had to lead by example.

If she was given special treatment because she was a pregnant woman and was allowed to rest while her colleagues were working, many people would be displeased. They would talk behind her back and agree that Ye Tianxin had special privileges.
