Sweet Tongue

Yao Yaoyao looked at Ye Tianxin's office with much curiosity. She was holding a pot of green plants in her hand.1

"This is for you. Thank you for saving my life."

Yao Yaoyao looked at Ye Tianxin graciously. After thinking about it, she realized that she had been too impulsive the day before. It was a bad idea to risk her life like that.

Ye Tianxin asked, "Are you feeling better?"

Yao Yaoyao nodded. "Yes, I'm feeling much better. My legs were so soft when you pulled me away yesterday. I'm here to say goodbye."

Ye Tianxin furrowed her eyebrows. "Goodbye? Where are you going?"

"I managed to earn some money for my grandfather's medical treatment earlier. I've got some more money left. I don't have any high expectations. Now that my grandfather is no longer around, I don't have any more hopes. I just want to go back to my hometown and set up a school there so more people can then learn about our heritage. I learned this from you, Tianxin."

Yao Yaoyao heard people commenting that Ye Tianxin's grandmother was already so old. She was still committed to passing on the knowledge of Jiameng embroidery to the next generation.

She thought that life was very short. It would be a pity if there was nobody to pass down the precious national heritage to.

Ye Tianxin asked, "Is there any way I can help?"

Yao Yaoyao was upfront with her request. "Yes, you help me keep an eye on that person. Let me know what happened to him, whether he is dead or alive."

"Is there anything else besides that?"

Yao Yaoyao smiled. "That's all, Tianxin. As your fan, I wish you eternal happiness. I hope you can forget about our unpleasant experience the first time we met."

Ye Tianxin smiled and said, "Who knew that an exchange in blows led to us being friends?"

The door of the elevator opened, and Li Qingcang walked out. Ye Tianxin was shocked for a moment before she ran up and hugged him. "Qingcang, what are you doing here? Did something happen? What's wrong?"

Li Qingcang kissed Ye Tianxin's forehead. "I just want to come and see my wife. Is there anything wrong with that?"

Ye Tianxin did not believe that Li Qingcang had come specially to see her.

"Qingcang, don't worry. Although there are many outstanding male colleagues in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, you're the only one for me."

Li Qingcang was dumbfounded. He then laughed. "You have such a sweet tongue."

Ye Tianxin looked around before standing on tiptoe to kiss Li Qingcang on the lips.
