An “Ordinary” Jade Pendant

The dessert shop next to the university was empty at the moment.2

In the empty shop, Jian Yiling and Zhai Yunsheng were the only people that were seated.

Zhai Yunsheng suddenly brought out a small pendant and threw it in front of Jian Yiling in a very casual manner.

The small jade pendant wasn't dazzling to the eye. However, it suited Jian Yiling quite well.

After Jian Yiling wore the pendant, a satisfied expression appeared on Zhai Yunsheng's face.

Master Zhai's wife had left him early. She had only left him two sons to accompany him.

And thus, there were only three single men in the Zhai family! None of them were going to wear the pendant anytime soon.

Furthermore, no one had seen that jade pendant for so many years!
