As Qin Chuan's condition was critical, Jian Yiling decided to use drugs that had not yet been fully clinically tested on him.

If she was just trying to win against Zhang Xin, she would not have rashly used the medicine on Qin Chuan before the results of the competition came out. After all, if she did this, she would be essentially revealing her research progress to the Zhang family.

Upon learning this news, the person Zhang Xin arranged to be in Qin Chuan's ward immediately informed him.

When Luo Xiuen entered the research lab in the morning with Jian Yiling, she discovered everything was in ruin. 

All their papers had been burned.

In addition, the computers they used to store data had been completely trashed. It seemed as though particular care was put into destroying the memory and storage.

Furthermore, all the flasks inside the lab were all knocked over, and various liquids were spilled on the table and floor.

Inside the small room belonging to Liu Ting, his collections of bottles and jars were also all smashed. Formalin solutions were spilled all over the floor and strange organs and tissues were all exposed to the air.

It seemed like the entire research room just encountered an intense battle.

"The Zhang family must have done this!" Luo Xiuen exclaimed in anger.

Other than the Zhang family, no one else would achieve anything from destroying their research progression.

"They're so damn despicable! I'm going to go and settle a score with them! I will beat the hell out of them!" Luo Xiuen refused to tolerate what happened.

As she was also pregnant, her temper was a little more irritable than usual

"Don't go," Jian Yiling called out as she stopped Luo Xiuen.

"Yiling, don't stop me. I can't stand this."

"No," Jian Yiling firmly said as she opened her arms to block Luo Xiuen's way. She did not want her sister-in-law to act impulsively.

"Yiling… I…" Luo Xiuen started.

"Don't worry, I'll take care of it," Jian Yiling calmly reassured Luo Xiuen. 

Upon hearing this, Luo Xiuen gradually calmed down. 

"But Yiling… That was almost a month of research data… It's been completely destroyed. We would have to start from scratch… It will take us at least half a month to return to where we were. We were so close to achieving results…"

When she thought about their hard work that got destroyed, Luo Xiuen felt incredibly angry.
