"Yiling, I hope your first baby is a girl," Grandma Jian happily said to Jian Yiling.

As Grandma Jian was already rather old, she was looking forward to the birth of the next generation. She wasn't as stubborn as Jian Shuxing.

Jian Yiling was already married to Zhai Yunsheng. Having a baby was definitely something that was going to happen.

What she wanted right now was an adorable and cuddly great-granddaughter.

She already had a great-grandson so that wasn't special anymore.

Furthermore, if her darling granddaughter was giving birth to a child, her baby would definitely be absolutely adorable.

Perhaps, her baby would look incredibly similar to her. 

"Old lady, what are you saying? The first child should be a boy," Grandpa Jian said. He disagreed with his wife's words.

"Don't you like girls? Do you not like Yiling?" Grandma Jian asked. She didn't like what she was hearing.

"It's completely not related to that. It has nothing to do with whether I like girls or boys more. The Zhai family needs a male child to inherit the family business. Hence, it's more secure to have a boy as the first child," Grandpa Jian explained. His thinking was rather traditional.

He still somewhat believed that men were more suited to looking after businesses.

Naturally, Grandma Jian did not approve of his words: "Old man, are you saying girls can't inherit family businesses? What's wrong with getting a man to marry into the Zhai family in the future? Is your brain rusty or something?" 

When Master Zhai heard the old couple arguing, he hurriedly acted as a peacemaker: "It's okay, it's okay. They're both good. A boy or girl can inherit our Zhai family's legacy!"

Master Zhai didn't mind if Jian Yiling's baby was a boy or girl.

He would be happy with either.

But then, Master Zhai added: "But one child isn't good enough. It'd be best to have more."

Upon hearing this, Zhai Yunsheng said, "Just one is enough."

Just one was enough to make him stressed for ten months.

If this happened a few more times, he might end up dying early from stress. 

"How can that be enough?" Master Zhai complained. "We can afford to have more children! Even if you have eight or nine children, I can afford to look after them!"

"It will be hard on Yiling's body."

This was not a matter of money.

Childbirth was an incredibly painful thing. Zhai Yunsheng did not want Yiling to hurt herself. 

"Then…" Master Zhai started. He realized that he was being a bit greedy. He needed to care about Yiling more. "Then four."

Having four children would always be possible.

"One," Zhai Yunsheng insisted again.

"Three, no less!" Master Zhai bargained.

Grandma Jian interrupted: "What are you two doing? This is Yiling's decision to make! It's not up to you!"

The Jian brothers also agreed with this.

Jian Yunnao: "That's right! Yiling has the say in this!"

Jian Yuncheng: "If Yiling doesn't want children, then she doesn't need to have a single child. However, if Yiling wants more children, her husband has to cooperate."

Jian Yunmo: "I can take care of Yiling's health. It's fine if she wants more children."

Upon hearing this, Master Zhai hurriedly nodded: "Yes, yes. It's Yiling's decision. Our opinions don't count."

Then, everyone focused their attention on Jian Yiling.
