In consideration of Jian Yiling and their child's safety, Zhai Yunsheng decided not to go to the manor for the time being.

"Let's go and find a nearby place to stay," Zhai Yunsheng instructed. He asked the drivers to turn around and head to a nearby town to stay first.

They passed by a town on the way here. It would be a suitable place to stay.

Everyone ended up staying at the only hotel in the town.

It appeared as though only people who were over sixty years old knew a few things about the abandoned manor.

However, no one knew what happened to the family to cause their decline and disappearance because the Xie family disappeared without any warning. 

After inquiring around, Zhai Yunsheng returned to their hotel room. As soon as he entered the door, he saw Jian Yiling breastfeeding her son.

The little boy happily sucked away and his face was filled with contentment.

When Zhai Yunsheng saw this, his eyes sank.

"Didn't you say you'd let the wet nurses feed him?" Zhai Yunsheng asked. His eyes were fixated on Jian Yiling when he spoke.

"I… I still feel… A little heavy…" Jian Yiling muttered quietly. 

"But didn't the wet nurses tell you that after not feeding him for a while, there would be no more breast milk?"

"But I wanted to try… Little Zeze is so cute," Jian Yiling exclaimed as she batted her eyes at Zhai Yunsheng.

This made Zhai Yunsheng swallow back his words.

"Alright, you feed him then."

Then, Zhai Yunsheng rolled onto the bed and pulled the blanket over his head.

After Jian Yiling finished feeding the baby, the little thing fell asleep very quickly.

Unlike other babies, he did not cry or howl during the night.

Jian Yiling placed him into the baby cot and covered his body with a quilt. Then, she got into bed with Zhai Yunsheng and hugged him from behind. Her palm-sized face was pressed into his back.

Naturally, Zhai Yunsheng was not yet asleep. He felt Jian Yiling's warmth as she hugged him.

Even though it was night, the abandoned Xie family manor was now brightly lit.

A group of people was searching through the manor. They searched every corner and notch for the piece of vellum.

Situ Zhong, the head of the Situ family, came here personally to supervise everyone.

They have been searching inside the manor for a week and yet, they didn't manage to find anything. 

The Xie family manor was huge. In addition to the manor, there was also the lakes, the woods, and the vineyards.

Without knowing where the Xie family hid the piece of vellum, they could only blindly search for the piece of vellum.
