Mu Siyin panicked when Shi Beiyu pushed her domineeringly into his car. "What are you doing?"1

Shi Beiyu bent over and helped her buckle her seatbelt. Then, he looked into her eyes. "You heard me. We're getting married."

"You're crazy!" Mu Siyin's heart clenched as her voice trembled.

"I'm not crazy. I just want you to know that you're the one I want to marry!"

The determination and persistence under Shi Beiyu's eyes made Mu Siyin even more anxious.

She lifted her hand to unbuckle her seatbelt. "No."

Shi Beiyu held her hand tightly. "You have to."

Mu Siyin dropped her gaze and said sadly, "Do you think that my Cuz is forcing you to marry me?"

Did he think that she was forcing him to marry her?

Shi Beiyu held her hand as his deep, amber-colored eyes looked at her. "Even if he was, I'll gladly do it." 

Streams of tears immediately gushed down Mu Siyin's face.

Shi Beiyu froze as his handsome brows knitted together. He asked her, "You don't believe me?"

Mu Siyin tightened her grip as she unbuckled the seatbelt. Then, she raised her hands to push Shi Beiyu away and got down the car. Looking at the stiff-faced Shi Beiyu, she whispered, "I believe you, but I don't want to get married now. It's your Grandpa's birthday today. You should go back."

After that, Mu Siyin paced forward towards Lu Jingchen's car without looking at Shi Beiyu's expression.

Lu Jingchen wanted to see what tricks Shi Beiyu had, but he never thought that Mu Siyin would get down the car instead.

His cousin did not look back as she opened his car door rigidly. Once she sat down, she said plainly, "Let's go. I don't feel like going back to the Mu family tonight."

Shi Beiyu stood rooted on the ground as he watched Mu Siyin leaving with Lu Jingchen, his eyes full of defeat. He looked so lonely that it was hard not to pity him. 

On the other hand, Mu Siyin's tears never stopped pouring down her cheeks. Somehow, they could not stop flowing.

Lu Jingchen knew how sad she was. After all, there were not many men like Shi Beiyu in the world.

"Don't be so sad. He was just trying to coax you so that you'll stay with him. He'll ditch you after he gets bored with you."
