Ling Tianya looked at Ruan Zeyan. She saw in his eyes, not just anger and determination, but also the hurt that he had been harboring all these years. It was hiding behind his walls. He never joked around with her; he was serious.

Du Gang nodded in response, watching silently as Ling Tianya was carried away by Ruan Zeyan.

He'd said before, when it came to traps, Miss Ling would never outsmart his boss.

In the Ruan mansion, after Madam Ruan heard the news, the smile blooming on her face was comparable to a flower's!
