John sighed with relief as he saw the trio of Melanie, Dwight and Eva leaving his office.2

Meanwhile, Maeen chuckled as she saw such an expression for the first time on John's face. Maeen then saw Diana who was still absent-minded as she thought of the events that took place today.

John sighed and slowly muttered, "Troublesome. It seems this was indeed planned by Melanie and executed by Dwight under her orders as he too was present here. I guess I need to revoke some privileges of Melanie even if she is my teacher or else this will set a wrong precedent."

The A.I. Sarah commented inside John's head, 'It seems your analytical skills have grown with time and evolution. Well, it is as you said, it was planned for a long time by Melanie and executed rashly by Dwight after he saw the news of the engagement is my assumption. Well, I too had a small hand in this case as I am more interested in the evolution of your body.' 

John sighed and thought, 'No wonder my bodily resistance functions were disabled. I cannot trust this faulty A.I. with an ego in some cases. This unexpected outcome was in my interests but some things cannot be rushed.' 

Diana smiled a bit as she thought and muttered, "Looks like it was Melanie who planned it. I should be thanking her. It would have been better if this woman wasn't present."

Clearing her thoughts, Maeen spoke with a serious look as if the previous event didn't matter, "So how are you going to take responsibility? Even if you marry me it won't be enough as the situation is problematic in Rorith as I was already engaged to the Ophidian's family. Politically our families are allied. They also produced a Prime minister about 30 years ago."

Matching her pace, John nodded and spoke, "It is indeed problematic as the problem's root was Sky as I couldn't keep my subjects in check. So we will have to take responsibility. So talk about your conditions to stabilize the relationship between both parties."

Maeen smiled and spoke, "Very well, first would be a 10% stake in Blue Paradise and also a stake in Power Capital. Second would be unrestricted access to Sky Imperial Academy and University which you are going to make in Golden Spring capital and the Aurora Academy and the University of the Aurora Island for the Amon Family especially when it comes to recruitment for research which is open to the public. And third, would be a marriage agreement so that my grandfather can justify this marriage to the council of elders in the Amon family. For this, first, you would have to share some of the shipbuilding technology with us which can convince all the parties. As for the Ophidian family i.e the family of the previous Prime Minister, that has to be handled by us internally as it would only get complicated if you come and muddy the waters. Currently, we have only 1 main enemy, and it's the Diablo family. So we will have to tread carefully so we will need sufficient strength to back us up and I hope you can sell us some of your unique weapons."

John didn't think much and agreed, "All of these can be agreed, but I don't have power or decision-making in Power Capital as it is an Independent Organisation but we will be trying our best to get more of their stake for the Amon family."

Maeen was quite surprised when she heard John agreeing to her terms especially the transfer of Shipbuilding tech and selling some of their unique weapons which were only sold to Demon Duke's Bluesea domain. 

Maeen nodded and spoke, "Ok, an agreement can be made as soon as possible. By the way, I am quite surprised by your sudden change in behavior and also this agreement. I now feel that I could have ripped you off for more."

John smiled and spoke, "I guess I have a different mentality. What you feel is valuable may not be valuable for me or has a certain shelf life so it's better to make the best out of available resources rather than holding them up and there is also this current event that makes me feel a little bit guilty but after watching you I feel that you always had the same intention but you would have maneuvered it somehow to get the same result. I hope this answers your question."

Maeen was quite surprised after hearing John's answer as he was quite on the mark with his analysis.

Diana was quite irritated after hearing this serious talk so she interrupted and spoke, "So when are we going for the next date, John? Just hurry up and sign the documents so that we plan ahead." 

Hearing this, Maeen couldn't help but laugh and agreed as she spoke, "Yes, let us finish this up and move forward."

At the same time, John wondered how he would handle both of these vixens at the same time.

Maeen used her unique Devil magic and produced a contract that was agreed upon between John and Maeen.

John was quite surprised after watching the contract that came out of nowhere. On the other hand, Diana frowned a bit as she knew about the taboo devil contracts which ripped demons off some of their powers if they didn't fulfill or reneged the contract deliberately. Here, the Devil gods would be the intermediary for the completion of the said contract where the Devil gods would take a part of the commission.

After both John and Maeen signed the contract, it was enforced by the shadow of a devil god. This time, John, Maeen and Diana left the chambers got back to work and handle urgent tasks.

Quill meanwhile received a letter from Plato which described the current investigation with regards to the Greenwoods massacre and also a situation due to local nobles stopping the magicians from their domain to travel with the guise of a routine inspection.

Quill thought as he read the letter from Plato, 'It looks like his appetite still hasn't been filled and wants more from the deal now that he has understood the Sky's market when it comes to the demand for services for Magicians. Well, I first need to understand his intention and demand. This guy always plays in circles in his letters.'

'Hmm... So he wants leniency from Sky in Greenwood's massacre case for Prince Hector from the way he is describing the events which took place.'

'Well, we can make it muddy and political in this case since Prince Charlie is also involved but this can't change the fact that Hector was involved in the decision-making. It looks like Plato really wants to get rid of this case but knowing Plato he wouldn't do this personally unless it is the order of the King and since he has already made Prince Hector his political opponent in the last policy changes it would be ridiculous of Plato to lobby for Prince Hector.' 

'Anyway, I should get an unofficial opinion of his majesty on this letter since politically we have already made a position and it would be hard to back down or dilute the current charges. I guess it can only be diluted by involving multiple parties and making this case a political mess.'

Quill saw another report which explained that the Radiant Church restarted its activities all over Aelius which may also affect Sky.

Quill came to John's office for the scheduled meeting and explained the current situation and also the letter from Plato.

John smiled and understood what was going on, "This guy Plato is quite cunning, he remained just for a day in Sky but grasped the important demand and supply needs of the various industries. Anyway, his demands are not worth the time lost. Okay, we will delay this case and also publish various obscure reports representing various parties when it comes to Greenwoods village massacre. Prince Hector can't be let off but the case can be buried with time. Also, we will report on Prince Hector's conversation with Prince Charlie which led to the manipulation. Anyway, Prince Hector will become a laughing stock in high society for getting manipulated so easily. And yes don't forget to take prior permission from Plato or you can only publish via private enterprises. Official newspapers like Sky Times can't represent this position on a Royal unless Sky times get permission from Plato or someone in power so be careful to muddy the waters. It's better if you get the job done via private players."

Quill nodded as he noted down how it should be dealt with so that the flow of Magicians doesn't stop for now.

Quill then handed over a report with regards to the Snake family's new proposal on making a new pharmaceutical company, "Your majesty, have you seen this new development? Also their registration for a patent with the new company."

John gave a small look and spoke, "Yeah I saw it a while back, I don't think there is any problem. It doesn't concern us, no need to be wary of them. They have started a private enterprise in Sky and as long as they are following all the necessary laws then there shouldn't be a problem. Treat them like any other foreign enterprise. Of course, if they are breaking any laws then the related authorities will have to work. As far as competition is concerned with State-owned companies then it is good or else the state-owned companies will stagnate due to the monopoly of tech. Treat this new company like a competitor. Yes, you can indicate the same to them which will reassure them when it comes to the business environment of Sky. Or maybe we can publish an article or a magazine for every Entrepreneur in Sky or elsewhere from our borders."

Quill nodded and spoke, "Yes, a business-specific magazine would be good to lead and make the path of the country's economy. This will also reassure the bigwigs if it comes from the mouths of people in power when it comes to certain policies."

Hearing the knock on his office, John nodded and spoke, "I guess it is time for Taylor to come in to submit his report. You can stay so that we complete all the important matters today itself."

Quill nodded and opened the gate for Taylor to come in, "Good afternoon Taylor, I guess we will both be busy today. Anyway come in, his majesty is waiting already."

Taylor nodded as he handed over a report to John which was in relation to research concerning Rubber, Plastic, and the usage of other energy sources such as coal, oil and gas.

Taylor briefly narrated what was written in numerous pages, "It is as you expected, Your majesty, we have been able to improvise and create energy generators for Oil and gas just like when we used coal for Steam engines and Railway engines. I think we can proceed with the plan for your crowning ceremony which will take place in a month. Tornwall too is directing and incorporating the agricultural machines with new engines and making a mechanism where people can easily replace the engine with their choice regardless of energy source. Currently, we are still going with the magic crystal battery module."

"With these developments, the district and state governments are also speeding up in acquiring lands that have high energy resources of Oil and Gas. Of course, no one is coerced as we are offering premium prices of 3x to 5x. We in the central ministry too are going to speed up acquiring as many energy resources as possible within the country and also outside the country as the results are already clear."

John too was quite surprised after hearing these words from Taylor as the speed of innovation was too fast, "So who researched the generators for Oil and Gas? I would like to hear about them."

Taylor nodded and spoke, "It was a small group of Alchemists i.e. an Alchemist team who came to Sky after being hounded by Aelius due to Radiant Church. The Radiant Church feared new discoveries and used all the legal and illegal means to hound them out. This group also incorporated Alchemists from other countries i.e. Demons, Dwarfs, Devils, Vampires and so on, so currently it's a mixed bag. Currently, these Alchemists are working as part-time professors at Hope Institute and also as researchers for Hope Institute after going through basic tests for entrance. From the test results, we can see that they are always open to new information and aren't narrow-minded when it comes to knowledge."
