C320 Strange Dreams
Zhou Yi's body fell from the layer of snow and was falling rapidly.
He wanted to control his body in an attempt to stop the descending force, but no matter what, his figure did not change.
But luckily, the space was not high so after a while, Zhou Yi finally landed on the ground.
After a deep sound of impact, it was accompanied by a groan from Zhou Yi.
He had already been injured while he was up there, and now that he fell down here, it made his blood boil.
However, he couldn't care so much right now. He must have come to a strange environment, and right now, he should be able to clearly see the terrain of this place.
Hence, with a slight movement of his palm, an orange flame instantly lit up.
Only now did Zhou Yi realize that this underground space was not small at all. The distance between the top of his head and the ground was about 3 to 4 meters, and he could not see the edge of the space.
Zhou Yi slowly moved forward with the flame in his palm in his hand. Suddenly, there were several black shadows crouching on the ground not far away from him. The aura around Zhou Yi's body froze.
After standing in place for a while, he realized that the shadows in front of him were still the same as before, not moving at all.
Zhou Yi was surprised and couldn't help but mutter in a low voice, "Could he be dead?"
Thinking of this, Zhou Yi raised the flame in his palm and walked towards the black shadow step by step.
Only when he walked up to them did Zhou Yi realize that they were indeed human figures, but they were all the corpses of the dead.
He stretched out his leg and lightly kicked them. He found that their bodies had already been frozen into ice. However, judging from their faces, they probably didn't suffer any pain or torture before they died.
But who were they, and what were they doing here?
The clothes that he saw through shouldn't be too old, could it be that he was a treasure hunter like me?
Thinking of this, a wave of dizziness hit Zhou Yi's brain and he couldn't help but hold his forehead.
His injuries from before weren't light. It seemed that he needed to rest for now.
Following that, Zhou Yi barely walked forward a bit and didn't find anything special. Thus, he found a spot near the rock wall and sat down cross-legged.
After that, he placed a barrier in front of him and entered a state of cultivation.
"Run!"
"Stop!"
"None of you should even think of leaving this place today!"
"No, I'm begging you, I don't want to die!"
The moment Zhou Yiyi closed his eyes, he heard a lot of shouting, such as cursing, begging for mercy, yelling, and his own heavy breathing.
Zhou Yi suddenly opened his eyes and found himself running crazily in the dense forest. The light in the forest was very dim, but one could still see a lot of kids around that were around the age of seven or eight.
Lowering his eyes to look at him, he was surprised to discover that he was also a child. This was because the pair of young hands and short, stupid legs in front of him were not wrong.
"What happened?" Zhou Yi thought as he ran.
That was because not far behind him, he heard the sounds of several swords piercing into flesh as well as the miserable cries of children.
Glancing back, he saw that there were several figures less than a hundred meters behind him, wielding long swords and constantly waving them forward.
"Ah!" At this time, a little girl not too far away from him did not tumble down while he was running. Before she could get up, a black shadow came from behind her and chopped off her head as she raised her sword.
Soon after, the little girl's figure slowly disappeared. The person who had killed her let out a strange cry and then ran towards the other children.
These children were all not even ten years old, how could they possibly run away from an adult? Furthermore, the forest was filled with thorns. If one was not careful, they would trip over it.
What frightened Zhou Yi the most was that the Spiritual Force in his body had all disappeared from the dream.
This also indirectly proved that as long as he was caught by those people, he would definitely not have a good ending.
The footsteps behind him were getting closer and closer. Zhou Yi was running with all his might.
Suddenly, a soft hand grabbed his left hand. Zhou Yi was about to shake it off when a childish voice interrupted his ears: "Don't move, come with me!"
Zhou Yi suddenly raised his head and saw a seven or eight-year-old girl looking at him with bright eyes.
"Hurry up, it's too late!" Zhou Yi wanted to ask who she was, but the girl growled and then pulled his arm and ran to the side.
Zhou Yi was surprised. Why was this child so energetic?
Although he had his doubts, Zhou Yi followed her closely.
Not long after the two of them ran away, three men in black walked over.
"Eh, he's running pretty fast!" A man wearing a black tight suit held a bow in his hand as he constantly scanned the surroundings with his gaze.
"This way, quickly!" Another wave of shouts came from afar. The man quickly put down his bow and arrows and ran towards the direction of the voice.
Zhou Yi was hiding in a patch of tall grass not far away. After seeing him leave, he felt relieved.
"Thank you!" Zhou Yi cupped his fist towards the little girl beside him.
The little girl shook her head and asked, "Are you here at Yudu Peak?"
"How, how did you know?" Zhou Yi was surprised. At the same time, his vigilance increased.
"You don't have to be afraid!" Looking at Zhou Yi's appearance, the little girl laughed, then continued: "Actually, I came to Yudu Peak and fell into this dream, I have been here for a long time!"
"Dream?" So this really was a dream? Could it be that there's no way out the moment you enter? " Hearing that, Zhou Yi's heart tensed up again.
The little girl nodded her head, then explained to Zhou Yi: "We also came in after entering Yudu Peak, and we later discovered, as long as we can endure for 8 hours and not get killed in this dream, we will have a chance to wake up."
"What if he was killed in a dream?" Zhou Yi thought of the little girl who had her head chopped off.
"Hehe, if you are killed in your dreams, you will also die in reality!" Hearing this, the girl smiled helplessly and spoke up.
Zhou Yi's heart sank as well.
He hadn't thought that a dream could affect the real world, but what kind of place was this?
If she could hold on for eight hours, why did this girl look like she had been here for a long time?
Thinking about this, Zhou Yi asked, "Since you can wake up after 8 hours here, why haven't you left?"
"Ai!" The girl let out a long sigh and continued, "In the past, there were a total of eight people who entered the mountain together. The other five died in this dream, and the most terrifying thing about this snowy mountain wasn't this dream …"
Saying that, the girl looked up at Zhou Yi.
Zhou Yi didn't know why, but he felt that her next words might be very scary.
"As long as a person enters their dreams, they will never be able to leave Yudu Peak, so, this is a dead end!"1
