C272 Healing Injury
In a valley filled with trees, a figure could be seen lying on the ground for two days.
He had not moved since he entered this valley two days ago.
A gentle breeze blew past. As if the figure was disturbed by it, his eyelashes trembled slightly as he immediately opened his eyes.
Zhou Yi subconsciously reached out his hand to block the strong sunlight. However, the moment he made his move, he found that his arm was extremely sore. He couldn't even move it in such a simple manner.
"Damn it!" Zhou Yi cursed in a low voice, then sunk his mind back into his body.
Only now did he realize that his cultivation had dropped to the Mortal Realm.
Not only that, his Jing and Mai had been damaged to such an extent that even his internal organs had suffered some degree of damage. As he breathed, his lungs felt as uncomfortable as if they were on fire.
Zhou Yi sighed deeply. Then, he put himself back on the bed and started to think about what happened before.
Ever since he came to M Country, Zhou Yi's memory had never deviated from the norm. However, when he thought about the battle between him and the three peculiar powers, he realized that he did not have any memory of the latter half of the battle. He did not even know how he came here, nor where he came from.
After thinking for a long time, he still couldn't figure out what was going on, so Zhou Yi decided not to think about it at all.
Because the most important thing right now was how to recover his cultivation. If he was going to reach the Mortal Realm, it would be better to just kill him.
After resting for about an hour, Zhou Yi's aching body finally seemed to have disappeared. He then got up with difficulty and started to search around.
The entire valley was surrounded by mountains, and the valley was covered with lush greenery. However, looking at the marks on the ground, it seemed that someone had been here before.
Zhou Yi followed the path in the valley and walked deeper into the valley. However, when he was about to reach the end of the valley, he found a place where all kinds of precious herbs grew.
Zhou Yi turned his head in surprise. He looked around the entire valley but didn't find anyone.
"Could this be ownerless?" Zhou Yi muttered. After a moment, he couldn't help but laugh, "It seems like the heavens are helping me!"
To Zhou Yi, these herbs were the most precious thing he could ever hope for.
Now that he is seriously injured and has not yet recovered, he has these herbs …
He believed that his injuries would quickly heal.
After he finished laughing, Zhou Yi put his hands together to form a horn. He then placed it next to his mouth and shouted, "I want the ownerless one!"
"It's ownerless, I'll be ownerless …" I'll take the ownerless one... "I'm taking it …"
Numerous replies came from the valley. Zhou Yi put his hands on his waist and nodded in satisfaction. Finally, he said in a soft voice, "Then, I won't be courteous anymore."
Following that, Zhou Yi started to get busy in the valley.
Actually, Zhou Yi knew that such a large-scale growth of herbs could not be accidental. The only reason was that someone must have done it intentionally.
However, the matter was urgent, and Zhou Yi was heavily injured. He did not have the time to find the true master of the valley, so he could only use it first.
Now that Zhou Yi's cultivation had returned to the Mortal Realm, he had no way to ignite his spirit fire. If he wanted to set up the array, the items he had were limited. Therefore, Zhou Yi could only choose some relatively convenient herbs.
After picking a few herbs that he could swallow, he found an empty space and sat down cross-legged. Afterwards, he swallowed all of the herbs in his hand without thinking.
Zhou Yi could not help but shake his head and smile bitterly at the bitter feeling on the tip of his tongue. To end up in such a state after living two lives, it was too embarrassing.
As the herb entered Zhou Yi's stomach, the effects of the medicine gradually came into effect. Zhou Yi also slowly closed his eyes.
Just like this, after seven days, Zhou Yi also ate a lot of herbs. His injuries had finally recovered by about seventy to eighty percent. At least, when his arms and legs were moving, there was no pain, and his breathing also became smoother.
In the early morning, several shouts suddenly came from the valley that had been silent all this time.1
Zhou Yi heard the news and went over, only to find an old man in his fifties standing at the entrance of the valley and looking around.
"What do you want?" Zhou Yi looked at the elder in front of him who was wearing casual clothes.
The old man glanced at Zhou Yi, then shifted his gaze towards the valley and said, "I am here to see Valley Master!"
"Valley Master?" It seemed like he was right, there was someone here, but since the owner was not here, he couldn't just let them in. He said, "Master isn't here, come back another time!"
With that, Zhou Yi turned around and walked into the valley.
"Sigh …" Don't go, why are you still in the valley if the Valley Master isn't here? " The old man seemed unwilling to accept this and shouted.
Zhou Yi ignored him. Instead, he directly waved his hand and set up a barrier at the entrance of the valley, isolating the old man from his voice.
When night fell, Zhou Yi decided to take a good rest.
Since his injuries had already healed, he wanted to try and refine some pills to see if he could recover his cultivation. Now that the Spiritual Force was down, he had to maintain his spirit and mind at their peak condition.
However, not long after he started meditating, the spirit formation around the entrance was destroyed by someone.
Zhou Yi suddenly opened his eyes and then disappeared from where he stood.
Then, he saw a figure tiptoeing into the valley. As he got closer, Zhou Yi realized that it was the old man who came to pay his respects to the Valley Master in the daytime.
Zhou Yi lowered his aura to its lowest, hiding his body within the weeds. Not long later, the old man walked towards the place where precious herbs were grown.
"You want to steal medicine?" Zhou Yi's first reaction was that this guy wanted to steal the medicine right away after paying his respects to the Valley Master.
Sure enough, as if to confirm Zhou Yi's guess, the old man walked up to the herb and grabbed it.
"Whiz!"
A cold light flashed, and the movements of his hand were blocked by a sharp small sword.
"Who is it!" The old man was obviously frightened. He suddenly stood up and shouted out to his surroundings.
Hearing that, Zhou Yi slowly stood up from the bush and said lightly: "If you don't want to ask, then take it. Consider it stealing."
"Humph, so it's you!" The old man's pupils suddenly dilated. He glanced at Zhou Yi and then said sternly, "You are not the Valley Master, so I advise you to mind your own business!"
"But I still have to meddle in this sort of idle business, so what?" Zhou Yi raised his eyebrows and chuckled.
He had lived here for almost ten days, and he had also eaten a lot of other people's precious herbs. He felt that he owed the valley master, and now that the valley had been robbed, he naturally couldn't just sit by and do nothing.
"Then I'll kick your block!"
As his voice faded, the old man's figure flashed as he charged explosively towards Zhou Yi …
