Everyone's Arrival

In just a few minutes, the peace of the world was broken. Within moments, the wonderful architecture was demolished and the people went into a frenzy.

All this was being watched by a certain black man. His displeasure was apparent on his face as he waited for the orders of a certain man. Even as the director he had to wait for orders from his seniors.

"What are the orders, sir?" 

His commander asked as she was frustrated waiting for orders. 

"We wait." The man replied, unfazed by the tension rising within the room. 

He was anxious as well, but he knew better than to yell at his subordinates.

He felt his heart tear as he stood watching the mayhem that was ripping apart the peace he had worked so hard to maintain.

But all that was about to end as he received the call that he was so eagerly waiting for. 

He instantly picked up the call and got on the line.

"This is Director Fury, I wait for the command."

The line stood on hold as the person on the other side took a deep calculative look at the reports. 

"This is a… Code Red. You are free to eliminate the threat, the leaders have given you full authority over the mission." The person paused. "Don't let me down, Nicholas." 

"I won't, Mr. Argent."

 *Beep* *Beep*

As the call ended, Nick Fury— the director of S.H.I.E.L.D looked at his agents. He was trained by the wife of Marcellus Hanley, Peggy Carter Hanley when she was alive. And Marcellus taught him the ways to deal with international affairs, as such he was given the position of director without much opposition. 

"Prepare to attack." He said. "I received a call from Xavier prior to Mr. Argent's call… And he said that the X-Men were on their way."

He turned to look at his commander. "Commander Hill, you are in charge of the aerial assault." He turned to look at the rest. "Now… MOVE!"

While the people were panicking to escape the hell that had risen on the earth, Jester played with the flames and chaos as a conductor instructing the orchestra.

The flames rose and fell alongside the motion of his hands. He was being extra careful to not kill anyone accidentally and in the eyes of others, it was not going to make much of a difference as the chaos and devastation that he had caused was going to overshadow the non-killing part.

He looked around and found the newly made shopping malls and with a gleeful expression, he buried the buildings a thousand feet under. 

'How is it going at your end, Betty?' 

He asked his right-hand woman, who gave him a chuckle.

'Just as we planned.' She answered. 'And I haven't had this much fun in ages!' 

He smiled as he knew Betty loved fighting foes that were on par with her and Brian was just the perfect choice. 

'Just make sure not to endanger the mission.' He warned.

'Of course. The mission comes first.'

As he cancelled the telepathic link, he felt a certain few individuals approaching his way.

'They sure took their sweet time getting here.'

He acted as if he didn't notice their awfully obvious presence and let a certain young mutant shoot a beam of laser towards him. 

*Zap*

The ray shot directly at him and the moment it made contact, the area surrounding him exploded with smoke. 

"Did you get him?" Kitty asked and Scott nodded. 

"I would like to believe so." 

But Bobby wasn't going to risk their chance and so he used his powers to freeze the entire area.

But that's when he realised Scott's powers haven't affected the enemy.

"He wasn't hit." He said bitterly. 

The smoke vanished to reveal a man sitting atop an ice structure. 

"Sheesh… Careful with those powers, I might have gotten hurt." Jester complained.

The X-Men frowned at his taunt while a certain someone looked at him anxiously. 

James was informed of the situation and he knew exactly what he was supposed to do but it was still annoying for him to follow two commands simultaneously.

'Don't think too much and just fight. Go ham if you want.' Jester assured. 'But do not hold back or it might raise suspicion.'

James nodded which went unnoticed by the crew. 

"And my my… if it isn't the famous X-Men. I expected you to arrive late, considering all your past endeavours." 

*Tsk* 

Bobby clicked his tongue. 

"This clown face makes me want to punch him." He looked at Nightcrawler. "Kurt, can you teleport me there?" 

Nightcrawler shook his head. "I barely learnt to take someone with me to a distance of twenty meters and he is well above that." 

"Can you knock him down?" James asked and Kurt seemed conflicted. 

"I can try…" He said. "But we all saw how destructive he is with his powers." 

"I can make sure that you stay safe." Jean said. "I can create a force field around you but not for more than ten seconds as his powers are too strong. So, I will have to put everything on enforcing the shield and maintaining it at such a height… I can only do it for ten seconds."

"That should be enough." Scott added as he looked at the clown masked Jester jumping over the ice. "The moment he is down, Kitty drag him inside the concrete and Rogue… you know what to do."

Rogue nodded.

Scott looked at James and Bobby. 

"We will have to make sure that he doesn't escape before Rogue can touch him." 

"Scott."

"Yes, professor?"

"Don't rush, S.H.I.E.L.D is on their way."

And Xavier was right as the noise of jets flying over their heads were the clear indication of S.H.I.E.L.D's arrival.

"Are you sure… he was a good choice?" Ouroboros asked when he saw Jester demolishing everything around him.

"He is causing no harm to the timeline and so we cannot interfere. We are bound by the rules." Mobius answered. "And we have hired worse people in the past… much more viscous."

He frowned remembering all the criminals they had to hire for their missions.

"Can you assure that he won't cause a bigger mess than the one we are already in?"

"I cannot." Mobius answered truthfully. "But I can assure you that it will be one of the greatest tasks the TVA have ever taken."

"And… is that a good thing?"

Mobius smiled. "I don't know."
